Here's an older one that I painted in 2005 with acrylics-- a mix between Rene Magritte "The Son of Man" and Munch's "Evening on Karl Johan Street."
and my most recent, after a 6 year painting hiatus...
Elizabeth Taylor done with watercolours.
So I'm a little rusty and think it would do me good to get some practice! I decided to randomly add a minor in studio art this year (my studio art classes start in January 2012) and I think it would help me get back into it if I start painting more on my own time :) If any of you have any suggestions of something you would like to see made into a painting, or if you have a photograph that you would like done, send it on over and I'll make sure to post it on my blog!
meow.

I love Magritte. It's an interesting composite. Not half as creepy as the Much one :) but really cool and surreal. I think you should look at the art of Remedios Varo she is a wonderful surrealist! I should be posting a little post about her art on my blog soon.
